DAY 14 in therapy

MMonday 22nd July

Today I spent equal amounts of time in retail, medical, and remedial therapy

Sian and Julie took me into the city to do some shopping (Oxford St wasn't too crowded, probably because of the searing 34 degree heat).
While we were out, Alex visited the Cutty Sark. A tea clipper from the 19th century, it also visited Australia and carried wool as its cargo. Now its a tourist attraction at Greenwich Pier
Portrait of Thomas Twining (thanks mate, without you, I may never have been born)

in the afternoon we went off to the doctor again (this time in a London cab). The wait for the doc took over two hours! But at least the clinic is air-conditioned. We finally emerged with sufficient medication to keep Julie plugged up until she gets home, hopefully it is nothing more than a severe irritation - but we will wait until we get home to investigate further. Apparently it is not appendicitis, crikey we never thought of that!! I might have found myself in hospital at the same time as The Duchess of Cambridge (how apt!)

In the evening, we finally made it back to Jamie's Italian to celebrate Sian's graduation, a week late!!!
Too many yummy things to choose from at Jamie's Italian in Greenwich

And the cocktail menu is equally tempting

A board of vegetarian nibbles, the olives were yummy, and the tapenade was delicious

A quick visit to the original Crapper

And I'm definitely swungry - for a cup of cream!!!

We all slept very well tonight.
